Megan's background has included 28 years in healthcare, including clinical, operational, management and governance roles.  Megan is a qualified Lead Auditor and Registered Nurse with post-graduate qualifications in quality management and health and safety.  Megan is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors.  She has a Bachelor of Nursing from Australia's Deakin University.

Megan works as an advisor to the healthcare sector, assisting organisations to meet legislative and best practice requirements as well as improve the quality of the service they provide.  Recent projects have included large-scale service reviews (for productivity and compliance), leadership of service improvement projects, post-earthquake disaster recovery and business continuity projects, as well as design of new healthcare facilities.

Megan has a particular interest in helping clinical teams to function better through empowerment, to move beyond compliance and focus on improving the patient experience.

Megan is also a Trustee and Chair of the Hawksbury Community Living Trust Board.
